JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Kershaw Public Defender’s Office is seeking a paralegal to serve in the Kershaw County Courthouse. This is a small office with six attorneys. The Public Defender Paralegal is involved with all aspects of representation of indigent individuals charged with crimes in Kershaw County. As a paralegal in this office, you will be responsible for file management, preparation of subpoenas, drafting pleadings, greeting and assisting clients and members of the public, interacting with judges and courthouse staff, and much more.
