Job Summary: The Maintenance Crew Worker shall perform duties associated with the Kershaw County Parks and Recreation Department as it relates to maintenance of various athletic facilities and parks. Position may be scheduled for evening and weekend work.
Duties: Duties shall include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- ●Prepares fields for athletic contests
- ●Monitors facilities for cleanliness
- ●Picks up and removes trash from facilities as needed
- ●Cleans restrooms and interior facilities as needed
- ●Other related duties, as assigned
Required Physical Skills: ● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ●Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and sitting
- ●Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- ●Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment including, but not limited to, line machine, lawn mower, weed eater, field groomer, rakes, and tamp.
Desired Skills ● Experience with athletic field maintenance
- ●Experience with various maintenance equipment
- ●Ability to work independently to achieve desired outcome
- ●Ability to make decisions according to Department protocol in high pressure situations
